- Circuit breakers and disconnect switches
- Filters – make sure the filters are clean. Excessively dirty filters restrict airflow and can damage your equipment. We recommend filters to be changed at least every 6 months.
- Thermostats – The thermostat must be set in the proper mode (either heating or cooling) and the setting must be below the indoor temperature for cooling or above the indoor temperature for heating in order for the system to operate.
- Pilot light – make sure the pilot light is lit.
We promise you that our courteous technician will identify the problem, notify you immediately of the issue, provide you with the solution and fix it – if it can be corrected with the equipment at hand. (Our shop and trucks are stocked with all common parts, but if necessary components are not immediately available, we will order them and keep you up-to-date on their status.) We pledge to do the job to your satisfaction and to follow up with you after the work is finished to ensure that you are completely satisfied.

Sunday morning, I woke up to a cold house. The furnace had stopped working sometime during the night. I went out and tried to diagnose the problem myself with my limited HVAC knowledge. Luckily it was a fairly easy fix. The ignitor had broken. I called a few companies to try to get the part and only got voice mails. I called Ruby Mountain and they said they had the part and would meet me at their shop in a few hours to get it to me. A few hours later I got a call that they would bring the part right to my house. Awesome. They brought the wrong part initially, not their fault, but within an hour they returned with the right part. About 5 minutes later I had the part installed myself, with a few pointers from the man who brought me the ignitor, and I had heat again. Propane is the only source of heat in my house and I was super thankful that they were able to help me out on a Sunday when no other company would pick up the phone.

The technician called prior to coming and was here 10 minutes later… I contacted a couple of other businesses and was told it would be at least a week before they could get to me. Ruby Mountain responded in a day. The staff was friendly, and the bill was A LOT cheaper than we thought it would be… Repair time was about 40 minutes and the problem and repairs were explained to me in simple terms. I won’t hesitate to use Ruby Mountain HVAC and Refrigeration again!
